STEP 3 · CUSTOMERS, BUT NO SYSTEM
The honest answer has two numbers: what you pay Meta, and what you pay whoever runs it. Here is how both work, and what decides whether it was worth it.
Part one: the budget you pay Meta
You set a daily amount; Meta spends it showing your ad to the audience you chose. Nothing is charged by us — the card on the ad account is yours. Start with one offer and three creatives at J$1,000–3,000 a day. Big budgets spread across five offers teach you nothing.
Part two: management
Someone has to build the audiences, write the copy, design the creatives, set up the pixel and WhatsApp tracking, read the numbers and kill the losers every Friday. Do it yourself and it costs your evenings; hire it and in Jamaica it runs J$15,000–40,000 a month. Ezy is J$25,000, month to month.
What decides the cost per conversation
- The creative — a real photo or a 20-second video of you beats stock every time
- The offer — "10% off" is weak; "Saturday slots open, J$3,500, book on WhatsApp" is strong
- The audience — one parish and one interest, not all of Jamaica
- The landing — click-to-WhatsApp converts far better here than sending people to a homepage
When it pays back (and when it cannot)
Work out what a customer is worth: a J$4,500 haircut that comes back monthly is worth far more than J$4,500. If a conversation costs J$600 and one in four books, a customer costs J$2,400 — fine for a salon, terrible for a J$1,500 product. If the page has no price and WhatsApp is answered tomorrow, no budget fixes it.

Frequently asked
Can I run Facebook ads without a website in Jamaica?
Yes — click-to-WhatsApp needs a Business Profile and a WhatsApp Business number. Prices, bookings or a catalogue still need a page to land on.
How long before I know if it works?
Two weeks at a steady daily budget. Judge on conversations and bookings, not likes.
Is boosting a post the same thing?
No. Boosting buys reach; a campaign buys an action. Never boost without a price and a WhatsApp button in the post.
