You cannot improve a number you do not have. Most owners know their follower count and nothing about what the website does. Here is the whole measuring job, and it takes an hour to set up once.
What counts as a conversion
- Tap on the WhatsApp button (the big one in Jamaica)
- Tap on the phone number
- Form sent
- Booking made or deposit paid
- Order placed
- Directions tapped (for shops and restaurants)
The formula
Conversions ÷ visitors × 100. If 240 people visited in October and 9 tapped WhatsApp, that is 3.75%. Write it on one line in a notebook or a sheet: month, visitors, taps, calls, bookings, rate.
How to count it
On an Ezy site: Ezy Stats records every tap, call, send and order and shows them on your monthly report. Nothing to set up. On any other site: Google Analytics 4 with an event on each button (your developer can do this in an hour), or a link-tracking tool on the WhatsApp link. The cheapest version: a different pre-typed WhatsApp message per page ("Hi, I saw the braids page") — then you can count by reading your own chats.
The monthly habit
First of the month, five minutes: visitors, each action, the rate. Then one change for the month — the button, the prices, a review block — and the same five minutes next month. One change at a time is the only way to know what moved it.
- List the three actions that mean money for you.
- Make sure each is a tappable thing on the site.
- Give each a way to be counted (Ezy Stats, GA4 event, or a unique pre-typed message).
- Write the first line of your monthly sheet today.

Frequently asked
Do I need Google Analytics?
It helps, but the unique pre-typed WhatsApp message per page works with no tools at all.
What about visitors from Instagram?
They count the same. What matters is what they did on the page, not where they came from.
How often should I check?
Monthly. Daily numbers on a small site are noise.
