"How much for social media?" is the question we get most, and the honest answer depends on what is included. Here is the market in Jamaica as we see it, and what you should get for the money.
The three price bands
- J$10,000–20,000 — posting only. Someone takes your photos and posts them on a schedule. No strategy, often no replies, rarely a report. Fine if you already know what to post and will answer the DMs yourself.
- J$25,000–40,000 — managed. A monthly plan, designed posts, captions, scheduling, replies on business days, a report with reach and messages. This is where a page starts bringing customers.
- J$50,000+ — agency with video and ads. Reels and TikTok production, ad management, multiple locations or brands. Worth it when the business can feed it.
What should be in a J$25,000 package
- A written monthly calendar you approve before it runs.
- At least eight designed posts with captions and hashtags.
- Replies to comments and DMs within business hours.
- A monthly report with reach, messages, link taps and calls, per post.
- Your graphics and captions stay yours if you leave.

Hidden costs to ask about
- Who pays for the design tool and the scheduler? (Should be included.)
- Is video extra? Usually yes under J$35,000.
- Minimum contract? Ours is none; three months is common elsewhere.
- Who owns the page and the content? You, always. Get it in writing.

Frequently asked
Is J$25,000 a month worth it for a small shop?
If one or two customers a month come from the page it has paid for itself; most managed pages bring more than that once replies are fast and prices are visible.
Can I pay per post instead?
Some freelancers do. It tends to produce posts without a plan, which is the problem you were trying to solve.
Do you require a contract?
No. Month to month; cancel before your billing day.
What if I only want the plan?
The 30-day plan is free. Run it yourself and come back when you want it run for you.
