In Jamaica the website gets the attention and WhatsApp gets the money. Most owners run it on a personal account with no system, so leads go cold in a scroll of unlabelled chats.
The setup, in an evening
- WhatsApp Business app on the business number.
- Profile: hours, address, website, a line about what you do.
- Catalogue: every service or product with a price and a photo.
- Quick replies: price list, location, hours, deposit details, "how to book".
- Labels: New enquiry · Quoted · Customer · VIP · Cold.
- Away message with the hours and the link to the site.
The weekly message
One per week to the broadcast list: a tip, a before/after, a slot that opened, an offer. Number it. People can only receive broadcasts if your number is saved on their phone, so every first reply ends with "save this number".
Money inside the chat
Deposits by bank transfer with a screenshot, or a payment link. Sites on the Ezy Bookings/Store plan take the deposit on the page and send you the WhatsApp — the chat becomes confirmation, not negotiation.
How the site feeds it
Every page has a one-tap button with a different pre-typed message, so the chat opens with "Hi, I saw the weekend rental page" and you answer with the price in one reply.
- Switch to WhatsApp Business if you have not.
- Build the catalogue with prices.
- Label the last 30 chats.
Not sure which step you're on? Book a growth call — fifteen minutes with Lee, no pressure, no obligation. You leave with the step, the first fix and the price.
Frequently asked
Broadcast list or group?
Broadcast. A group lets customers see each other and leave.
How many broadcasts a week?
One. Two if there is real news. More and they mute you.
What about the WhatsApp API tools?
When you pass a few hundred contacts and need automation. Not before.
